Sin.NY, founded by artist and designer, Gary Mendoza, originated in a suburb of Queens, NY on October 10, 2018. “This brand started out as just a simple drawing of the logo that defines and represents the brand. The word “SIN” defines as an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law. Although this is how the word is defined in many religions, I would like to keep religion apart from my brand/clothing line. “SIN” has stuck with me and the clothing line because in my perspective everyone around the world is not perfect we all have our flaws and sins. I look at this and its not something bad it’s what makes everyone unique/different from each other, just like all of my products. Each cut and sew that I make is unique in its own way and accommodates not only the consumer but the brand itself.”
